My Dear Friends,

When I lived on the street (which I did, as you know, for the better part of a year), I used to go around asking people for quarters. I figured that if I could get a quarter a day from most of the people I asked, I could survive.

Today I'm asking you for a quarter. In fact, I'm asking if you could be kind enough to let go of a quarter a day, every day, to help me place the message of Conversations with God into the world.

This message means more to me than I could ever tell you. It's changed my life, and I've seen it change the lives of thousands and thousands of others. Perhaps it has even touched your own life in a way that is meaningful to you. If so, please help me by reaching into your heart and saying yes to this request.

I am asking for just a quarter a day from every one of you reading this e-mail right now and the ReCreation Foundation can do its work. This non-profit Foundation relies in large measure upon the generosity of those people whose lives have been touched in a positive way by Conversations with God . We know that all of you are being asked all the time for more and more. These requests come from many different people and organizations. And so, for our part, we want to ask you for very little. We want to ask you for $.25 a day. That's $7.50 a month. If we could get a regular monthly commitment from you for $.25 a day, we could budget for and continue our work well into 2008.

Last November we sent out a Christmas card with our annual Christmas Appeal written into the card. The response was, to be very honest, disheartening. Christmas contributions trickled in at a rate that was slower and smaller than ever before. This has created a significant shortfall in our available operating funds. Now we are closing in on the second quarter of the year, preparing to enter spring time in the Northern Hemisphere, and autumn below the equator, a time of seasonal change and a time of transition. And whether you live in the northern hemisphere and are preparing to plant the seeds of future growth, or live in the southern hemisphere and are preparing to reap the harvest of our abundant world, I ask that you help us plant the seeds and reap a harvest as well.

Our planet and its people are on the verge of creating a new and glorious future. But we are also at a crossroad, and we could -- yes, we could -- make a wrong turn here. Please make no mistake about this. We are at a place called ChoicePoint. As creative beings in a creative universe, we can have it any way we want it.

Right now the way we are having it, the way we are creating our collective reality, the way life is being lived on our planet, is not the way we say we want it. It is time now to close the gap between our desires and our outcomes, between our wishes and our experiences, between our hopes and our realities. It is time now to become truly Creative Beings, and no longer merely reactive ones. It is time, right here, right now, to weave into the fabric of our day-to-day encounter with life the highest designs of our grandest thoughts. Indeed, the greatest notions of God.

You can be part of the process by which this is accomplished. Please, whatever you do, never underestimate the power that you hold in your hands. It is the power to change, fundamentally, the way that life is being lived on the earth -- and the way that it will be lived by our children and by our children's children..

If there is anything that I can tell you specifically about the work of the ReCreation Foundation, please write back to me and let me know. I am aware that you must feel confident about the spending of your contribution dollars. I want to tell you about our Books for Friends program that sends copies of Conversations with God to prisoners and others who cannot afford to purchase their own. I want to tell you about the 20% of the people who attend our life changing workshops and retreats will come on full scholarship because they can't afford even our modest participation fees. I want to tell you about our intensive training programs, which seeks to place New Spirituality messengers on-the-ground in cities, towns, and villages around the world. And I want to tell you about all this, and more. But I know that these occasional appeal letters are supposed to be kept short and sweet. So let me do my best with that here:

Please send us $.25 a day in the form of a monthly contribution. The way I figure it, that sure to average out to just about $7.50 a month. Such a regular contribution, each and every month, would make all the difference in the world to us. Thank you so very much for considering it.
